Sunny (Varun) is all set to propose to his girlfriend Ananya (Sanya Malhotra), but she rejects him — calling their relationship just a “situationship”. Ananya then gets engaged to Vikram (Rohit Saraf).
Vikram, however, had a past love: Tulsi Kumari (Janhvi Kapoor), whom he left because of family pressure. Sunny discovers this and decides to help Tulsi get back her love.
Sunny and Tulsi then hatch a plan: pretend they are a couple and attend Vikram–Ananya’s wedding as “friends”, hoping to break the wedding and reunite with their respective exes. As expected in such rom-coms, complications, misunderstandings, romance, drama and comedy follow.
